![]() The kids didn't like the breaks, but I dont think they would have made it through the day without them. There are five of us and we did the whole day for about $65. You should be able to park right up front when you return. Then around 5:00 you can drive to dinner. The best place to grab a tube is at the exit of the lazy river between the diving pool and the slides.Ībout 2:00, go to the car and eat lunch. ![]() They will make several announcements about not saving tubes. If you need a tube, pick one up that isn't being used. Some think they can "save" the tubes by putting them on a chair or under a towel. When it gets crowded, you will not be able to get a tube. You have about 1-2 hours before the parks get very crowded. You will want to put all of your stuff on the chair so someone doesn't take it. Once you get in, find chairs in the shade. The right line will split into 2 when the doors open. The left line will be for season passes and the right is for daily passes. Arrive 20 Mins early and get in line, use the time to put sunscreen on everyone. Park in the shade, even if it is across the street under a tree in the dirt and bring chairs. This is inexpensive and terrific family fun! We're considering buying a season pass next year. We met Salina residents who come late in the day and stay until close because it has cleared out some. Shelters can be rented for something like $15/hr as well. Snacks are inexpensive, a Quiznos is on-site. Especially after the red slide at Derby's Rock River Water Park put my son in the hospital for 4 days three weeks ago. ![]() Of note, a backboard is plainly visible upon entering the park.something my nurse wife and nurse daughter were pleased to see. Very informal.įrom a safety standpoint, lifeguards are everywhere, active and very friendly. One thing about the river, and the park itself, is tubes are left at logical spots around the river for users to pick up or drop off. The lazy river that moves riders around at a comfortable pace, although having it pass through the wave pool is an adventure trying to pass through it. My 4-year old really enjoys the family slide for the little guys. Do try the blue slide as well, it is the fastest tubeless slide and it is covered. The Tornado Slide is a scream because you never know how you'll be dropped into the 11' deep pool after being laughingly swirled downward into it. My family's (including children ranging from 11 to 4) favorites are the Tornado Slide, affectionately called the "toilet bowl" and the lazy river. We visited the park two weeks ago for the first time and enjoyed it so much we made the hour plus drive last weekend to hit the closing weekend. There are slides (open, covered, with and without tubes), a lazy river, a kids area and slide, as well as more traditional offerings like a diving board, high dive, and a general swimming pool. Unlike the Rock River Rapids Water Park in Derby, KS, this water park truly caters to families.
